Feb 15, 2026Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday addressed the state-level Tribal Students’ Conference organized by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan, highlighting the government’s focus on the holistic development of tribal students across Tripura.
Dr. Saha reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to preserving, promoting, and expanding the Kokborok language. He expressed concern over recent attempts to mislead tribal students by raising demands for the Roman script for Kokborok, describing such moves as politically motivated and divisive.
The Chief Minister called on students to remain united and channel their efforts toward constructive nation-building, urging them to resist forces that seek to disrupt social harmony and communal unity.
