Amit Shah to visit Tripura on Feb 20
Feb 13, 2026Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the Akhil Bharatiya Rajbhasha Sammelan for the eastern, northeastern, and northern regions on February 20 in Agartala, officials said over phone to www.tripuratoday.com.
The conference, organized by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs, will be held at the International Indoor Exhibition Centre, Hapania. Officials from central government offices, public sector undertakings, banks, Town Official Language Implementation Committees (TOLICs), and other organizations are expected to participate.
An exhibition showcasing notable initiatives in Official Language implementation has been planned, with participating organizations invited to display their innovations at their respective stalls.
Amit Shah is also expected to hold a meeting with the BJP’s Tripura state leadership to discuss organizational matters and strategies for the upcoming TTAADC elections. Party leaders said his visit would energize workers and boost outreach, particularly in tribal-dominated areas.
