Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday unveiled the name of the newly constructed government complex, Seva Teerth, in New Delhi, reinforcing the Centre’s push towards modernising administrative infrastructure in the national capital.
The Prime Minister will formally inaugurate Seva Teerth along with Kartavya Bhavan-1 and Kartavya Bhavan-2 later in the day and address a public programme at the complex. The inauguration is being seen as a major step towards building a modern, efficient, and citizen-centric governance ecosystem.
Seva Teerth will house key offices, including the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), and the Cabinet Secretariat, which were previously functioning from different locations. The consolidation is expected to improve coordination and streamline administrative processes.
Kartavya Bhavan-1 and 2 will accommodate several important ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Both complexes are equipped with digitally integrated offices, dedicated public interface zones, and centralised reception facilities. Officials said these features will promote better collaboration, enhance efficiency, improve citizen engagement, and support employee well-being.
The buildings also incorporate advanced safety and security systems, such as smart access controls, surveillance networks, and modern emergency response infrastructure, ensuring a secure and accessible environment for officials and visitors.
