Minister Tinku Roy Flags Off Mascot Rally for First-Ever Tripura State Games 2026

Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports, Social Welfare & Social Education, and Labour, Tinku Roy, on Friday highlighted the state government’s commitment to nurturing young sporting talents as he announced the first-ever Tripura State Games 2026.
Emphasising the importance of providing a competitive platform to emerging athletes, the Minister said the initiative aims to inspire and encourage budding sportspersons across Tripura to excel in their respective disciplines.
The mega sporting event, to be organised by the Tripura Olympic Association, is scheduled to be held from February 22 to 24. As part of the preparations, Roy flagged off the official mascot rally on Friday, marking the ceremonial beginning of the much-anticipated Games.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister expressed confidence that the Tripura State Games 2026 will play a crucial role in strengthening the sports ecosystem of the state and in identifying promising talents who can represent Tripura at national and international levels.
The event is expected to witness participation from athletes across multiple disciplines, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for sports in the state.
