CM Manik Saha Says Bandh Falls Flat, Urges Peace and Public Welfare

Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday said that the nationwide general strike called by central trade unions had no impact in the state, with normal life continuing uninterrupted.

Addressing the bandh, Dr. Saha expressed concern over the disruption such actions cause to common citizens, daily wage earners, students, and small businesses. While acknowledging the democratic right to protest, he emphasized that demonstrations should not disrupt essential services or create hardship for the public.

Taking a swipe at the Left parties, the Chief Minister remarked that people are no longer swayed by “outdated political tactics” and noted that the strike failed to evoke any significant public response in Tripura.

Dr. Saha reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order and appealed to all groups to resolve their grievances through dialogue and constructive discussion rather than disruptive measures. He also assured that the administration remains vigilant and prepared to maintain normalcy across the state.
