Modi Lauds Sitharaman’s Comprehensive Reply on Union Budget in Lok Sabha
Feb 12, 2026Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday praised Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for her detailed reply to the discussion on the Union Budget in the Lok Sabha, stating that her speech presented a comprehensive roadmap for the country’s economic transformation.
Sharing a video of her address on social media, the Prime Minister said the Finance Minister clearly explained how the Budget would accelerate growth and strengthen key sectors of the economy. He highlighted her emphasis on what he described as the government’s “Reform Express,” along with strong support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), skill development initiatives, and investments in next-generation infrastructure.
Mr. Modi also noted the focus on education and capacity building as central pillars of the government’s development agenda. He said the Budget outlines a forward-looking strategy aimed at boosting innovation, empowering youth, and sustaining long-term economic progress.
