Opposition Disrupted Lok Sabha Proceedings: Rijiju
Feb 10, 2026Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju accused opposition MPs of disrupting the proceedings of the Lok Sabha and showing disregard for the dignity of the House.
Speaking to the media, Mr Rijiju alleged that Congress women MPs crossed the treasury benches and moved close to the Prime Minister’s seat during proceedings last week. He described the incident as shameful and said BJP MPs, particularly women members, have lodged a strong complaint with the Lok Sabha Speaker over the conduct of the Congress MPs.
The minister further claimed that opposition MPs were celebrating the incident on social media and suggesting that women MPs had “scared the Prime Minister.” He said such actions were against the spirit of parliamentary democracy.
