Feb 09, 2026
Minister for Social Welfare & Social Education, Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour Tinku Roy on Monday has made a special appeal to families belonging to the Antyodaya category to avail benefits under the Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana. He informed that daughters from Antyodaya families who have completed 18 years of age and whose marriages have been fixed are eligible to receive financial assistance under the scheme.
The Minister said that eligible applicants must submit proof of age—either an Aadhaar card or a school certificate—along with their bank account details while applying for the scheme. Applications can be submitted at the local Panchayat office, the office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), or the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM).
After verification of the applications by the Panchayat Pradhan or Panchayat Secretary, eligible beneficiaries will be provided financial assistance of ₹50,000 under the Mukhyamantri Konya Bibaha Yojana prior to the marriage.
Minister Roy stated that the scheme aims to support economically weaker families during the marriage of their daughters and to ensure social and financial security for girls from Antyodaya households.
