Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) achieved a historic milestone during its Golden Jubilee year by launching its first-ever co-branded RuPay Credit Card in collaboration with its sponsor bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB).
With this initiative, TGB has become the first among the eight Regional Rural Banks sponsored by PNB and also the first Regional Rural Bank in the country to introduce a co-branded RuPay Credit Card, marking a significant achievement in the rural banking sector.
The landmark project was implemented under the leadership of TGB Chairman Satyendra Singh, whose vision and commitment to digital transformation and customer-focused banking have played a key role in bringing this initiative to fruition.
The PNB–TGB co-branded RuPay Credit Card is expected to strengthen digital banking services, enhance customer convenience, and promote financial inclusion, particularly benefiting rural and semi-urban customers by providing access to modern credit facilities under the RuPay network.
The launch event was attended by senior officials including Rakhi Biswas, Director (Small Savings, Group Insurance and Institutional Finance), Government of Tripura, along with representatives from PNB, NABARD, PNB Cards & Services Ltd., and top officials of Tripura Gramin Bank.
The initiative further reinforces the strong partnership between Tripura Gramin Bank and Punjab National Bank and reflects TGB’s continued commitment to innovation, inclusive growth, and modern banking solutions as it celebrates 50 years of service.
