CM Manik Saha Stresses Last-Mile Governance at NITI Aayog Workshop
Feb 03, 2026Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday said that governance is not limited to institutions or procedures, but is primarily about improving the quality of life of citizens and ensuring that development reaches the grassroots, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing the 3rd Regional Workshop under the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog in Agartala, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of citizen-centric and inclusive governance. The workshop saw participation from Eastern and North-Eastern States and Union Territories.
The event, organized in collaboration with TIFT, focused on strengthening the core principles of good governance, including transparency, accountability, efficiency, responsiveness, and effective service delivery.
Dr Saha said such regional platforms help states exchange best practices and enhance administrative capacity, adding that the Tripura government remains committed to adopting reforms and innovative approaches to ensure sustainable and inclusive development across the state.
