CM Manik Saha Inaugurates Major Infrastructure Projects, Strengthens Sports, Education and Healthcare


With the vision of building a “Viksit Tripura,” Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated a series of key infrastructure projects in Killa under Gomati district, giving a major boost to sports facilities, educational support, and healthcare services in the region.

During a formal programme held at Atharobhola, the Chief Minister inaugurated an AstroTurf synthetic football ground, aimed at encouraging youth participation in sports and creating better training facilities for aspiring athletes. He also virtually inaugurated two newly constructed 50-seated ST Girls Hostels attached to Dasarath Deb Memorial English Medium School and Devtamura High School, which are expected to significantly improve access to education for tribal girl students.

In the healthcare sector, Dr. Saha inaugurated a 10-bed Primary Health Centre along with staff quarters at Nitya Bazar in Killa, strengthening primary medical services and ensuring better healthcare delivery for the local population.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the state government has placed special emphasis on infrastructure development in critical sectors such as education, health, Janajati welfare, and sports to ensure balanced and inclusive growth. He added that these projects reflect the government’s commitment to improving public services and enhancing the overall quality of life for people across Tripura.

Dr. Saha further reiterated that the state is moving forward steadily towards the goal of Viksit Tripura through continuous investment in modern infrastructure and people-centric development initiatives.

Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy and other dignitaries were also present at the event.
