India sealed the five-match T20I series against New Zealand with a commanding 46-run victory in the final clash at the Greenfield International Stadium on Saturday night, winning the series 4-1.
Opting to bat first, the Men in Blue posted a formidable 271/5 in 20 overs, with Ishan Kishan smashing a century (103) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav contributing 63 runs. In reply, New Zealand fell short at 225 all out, despite opener Finn Allen’s explosive 80 off 38 balls.
Arshdeep Singh led India’s bowling attack with a five-wicket haul, supported by Axar Patel, who picked up three wickets. Kishan was named Player of the Match, while consistent performances throughout the series earned Suryakumar Yadav the Player of the Series award.
