Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir Holds Grand Annual Cultural and Prize-Giving Ceremony


Bhavan’s Tripura Vidya Mandir organised its Annual Cultural Programme and Prize-Giving Ceremony of the Primary Section with great enthusiasm and grandeur at the Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Auditorium on its Narsingarh campus on Saturday. The event was held to recognise and honour students for their outstanding performances in various co-curricular activities.

The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s founder Kulapati K. M. Munshi, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a formal welcome to the dignitaries.

The event was organised in two phases and was graced by an array of eminent personalities. The Chief Guests were renowned poet and writer Shri Bimalendra Chakraborty and eminent theatre producer and director Shri Pinakpani Deb. The Guests of Honour included eminent dramatist and actor Shri Prabal Bandhopadhyay and Shri Pushal Deb from the Information and Cultural Affairs Department, Tripura. Special guests for the occasion were eminent singer Smt. Nita Goswami, noted dancer Smt. Saswati Deb and Smt. Anusha Chakraborty.

In her welcome address, Principal Swapna Shome highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the institution and reiterated the school’s commitment to the intellectual, cultural and holistic development of its students.

Certificates of appreciation and mementos were distributed by the dignitaries to students from Nursery to Class VI who excelled in various co-curricular competitions, including dance, music, recitation, Gita chanting, extempore speech, drawing and action rhymes.

The cultural segment featured a series of vibrant performances by the young students, beautifully reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage. The programme presented a harmonious blend of India’s ancient, medieval and modern traditions, captivating the audience and earning high praise from the distinguished guests.

Debashis Chakraborty, Retired IFS Officer and Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Agartala Branch emphasised the importance of building a strong foundation at the primary level and lauded the school’s efforts in nurturing young minds with dedication and excellence.
