Governor Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on Martyrs’ Day

Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu on Friday paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Murtiprangan near the Circuit House and at Gandhibedi in Gandhighat, marking the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, observed as Martyrs’ Day.
The Governor offered homage to Mahatma Gandhi and remembered his supreme sacrifice for the nation, reaffirming the importance of following Gandhiji’s ideals of truth, non-violence, and harmony in public life. The programme was held in a solemn atmosphere, with officials and members of the administration joining the tribute ceremony.
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma was also present on the occasion and paid her respects to Mahatma Gandhi. The observance reflected the state government’s commitment to preserving the legacy and values of the Father of the Nation while inspiring citizens to uphold the spirit of unity and peace.
