CM Manik Saha Says Airtel Data Centre Will Boost Digital Growth in Tripura
Jan 29, 2026Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday said the establishment of the Airtel Data Centre in Tripura will play a vital role in strengthening the state’s digital ecosystem and accelerating economic development. He made the remarks while laying the foundation stone of the Airtel Data Centre at Chanmari in Agartala.
Highlighting the importance of the project, the Chief Minister stated that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to building a digitally empowered Tripura and ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth. He said the data centre would support the rapidly growing demand for digital services and help improve overall digital connectivity across the state.
Dr Saha further noted that the state-of-the-art facility is expected to promote innovation, generate employment opportunities for local youth, and attract future investments in the technology sector, positioning Tripura as an emerging technology hub in the Northeast.
Information and Technology Minister Pranajit Singha Roy was also present at the foundation-laying ceremony.
