Minister Sudhangshu Das Highlights VB-G Ram G Yojana at Workshop
Jan 27, 2026Minister for the Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Animal Resources Development Department (ARDD) and Fisheries Sudhangshu Das on Tuesday attended a one-day workshop at Fatikroy Nazrul Kalakshetra, where he interacted with leaders and public representatives from Unakoti district to review and promote the implementation of the VB-G Ram G Yojana launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The scheme aims to provide 125 days of assured employment to unskilled rural workers, strengthening livelihood security and supporting rural economic growth.
Addressing the gathering, the minister emphasized the need for transparent and efficient execution of the programme to ensure that benefits reach the grassroots level. He also urged local leaders and officials to create awareness among rural communities and encourage greater participation in the scheme. The workshop focused on improving coordination among stakeholders and formulating strategies for effective monitoring and timely delivery of employment opportunities to eligible beneficiaries.
