Minister Ratan Lal Nath Leads Republic Day Ceremonies in Agartala


On the occasion of India’s 77th Republic Day, Minister for Power, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ratan Lal Nath, led a series of ceremonial programmes across Agartala, paying rich tributes to the nation’s freedom fighters and martyrs.

The day began at Gandhighat, where the Minister offered floral tributes at Gandhibedi in honour of Mahatma Gandhi. Addressing the media, he said the ideals of Ahimsa and Satyagraha continue to guide Tripura’s path of development towards building an “Atmanirbhar Tripura.”

Later, Mr. Nath visited the Martyrs’ Memorial at Albert Ekka Park, Lichu Bagan, and laid a wreath in memory of Lance Naik Albert Ekka (PVC) and other brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. He stated that the freedom of the nation is safeguarded by the courage and sacrifices of the armed forces.

The Republic Day programme concluded at the Civil Secretariat, Capital Complex, where Minister Ratan Lal Nath unfurled the National Tricolour. The ceremony was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem in the presence of officials and security personnel, marking a solemn and patriotic start to the national celebrations in the capital.
