Youth Are the Driving Force of a Strong Nation: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India’s youth are the driving force behind building a strong and prosperous nation. In a social media post on Saturday, the Prime Minister expressed his eagerness to interact with young people at the upcoming Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue.
Mr Modi said that the country’s youth power, marked by remarkable enthusiasm and unparalleled zeal, remains firmly committed to India’s growth and progress.
The Prime Minister will participate in the concluding session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2026 on Monday in New Delhi to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. During the programme, he will interact with around 3,000 youth from across the country, including international delegates.
At the event, the Prime Minister will also release an essay compilation featuring selected writings by young participants on India’s developmental goals and long-term nation-building vision.
The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue provides a platform for youth to engage directly with national leadership, in line with the Prime Minister’s call to involve one lakh young people in politics without political affiliations and channel their ideas towards building a developed India.
The 2026 edition has witnessed participation from over 50 lakh youth at various levels across the country. Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the programme includes new initiatives such as Design for Bharat, Tech for Viksit Bharat – Hack for a Social Cause, expanded thematic engagements, and international participation for the first time, further strengthening its impact.
