Viksit Bharat–G RAM G Act Vital for 2047 Vision: Sunep Jamir
Jan 08, 2026BJP Nagaland State General Secretary Sunep C Jamir on Wednesday said the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin), also known as the Viksit Bharat–G RAM G Act, will play a crucial role in achieving the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision of a developed and prosperous India.
Addressing a press conference, Jamir stated that the earlier MGNREGA scheme lacked focus and a structured approach. He said the new legislation is more comprehensive and is designed to deliver targeted outcomes.
According to Jamir, the Viksit Bharat–G RAM G Act will focus on four major areas — water security, rural infrastructure, livelihood support, and climate resilience — with the aim of strengthening rural economies and ensuring sustainable development.
He added that the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to empowering rural communities and building an inclusive growth model aligned with the nation’s long-term development goals.
