Jaishankar Slams Pakistan for Backing Terror Camps, Calls Out Global Hypocrisy

External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Wednesday strongly criticised Pakistan for openly supporting terrorist training camps for decades, saying such activities have posed a persistent threat to India’s security.

Interacting with members of the Indian community in Luxembourg, Dr. Jaishankar said Pakistan has a long history of backing terrorism through organised training camps, a reality that India and the international community can no longer ignore.

The Minister also took a swipe at some countries for offering unsolicited advice to India while overlooking serious issues in their own regions. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that although several nations expressed concern over rising tensions, they failed to address comparable challenges closer to home.

On global developments, Dr. Jaishankar expressed India’s concern over the situation in Venezuela and urged all stakeholders to prioritise the safety and well-being of its people.

Highlighting India’s growing engagement with Europe, he said ties with the continent are expected to see a significant upswing this year. He also underlined the deepening partnership between India and Luxembourg across political, business and technology sectors, while appreciating the Indian diaspora’s role in strengthening bilateral relations.
