Atiqa Mir Makes History with Top-Five Finish at IAME UAE Karting Championship

Eleven-year-old racing prodigy Atiqa Mir made history by becoming the first Indian to secure a top-five finish at the IAME UAE Karting Championship, achieving the milestone on her debut in the Junior S125 category during Round Seven at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit.

Stepping up from the Mini category (ages 8–12) to the more competitive Junior S125 class (ages 12–14), Atiqa delivered an impressive performance, finishing fifth among 35 drivers in a highly competitive, male-dominated field. She missed out on a podium place by just four-tenths of a second.

With this result, Atiqa also became the first female driver in the history of the IAME UAE Karting Championship to achieve a top-five finish.

The IAME UAE Karting Championship is a premier professional karting series in the United Arab Emirates, featuring young racing talent competing with high-performance IAME X30 engines across various age groups. Atiqa’s breakthrough performance highlights her rapid progression and marks a significant milestone for Indian motorsport.
