AI Bringing Major Transformation in Human Life: Jitin Prasada
Jan 06, 2026Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada on Tuesday said that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is bringing major transformations in human life and is being increasingly adopted across all sectors.
Addressing the Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC), Mr Prasada said the widespread use of AI is leading to enhanced capacity building and improved efficiency in various fields. He highlighted that the central government has allocated a budget of over ₹10,000 crore for the India AI Mission.
He said the mission aims to promote the use of AI to bring comprehensive changes in key sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and education, thereby supporting inclusive and sustainable development.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma was also present at the event. On the occasion, the Rajasthan AI–ML Policy 2026 was unveiled, marking a significant step toward strengthening the state’s digital and technological ecosystem.
The Regional AI Impact Conference is part of the Rajasthan DigiFest TiE Global Summit, which concludes today. Sectoral sessions are being organized on themes including responsible use of AI in public service delivery, the future of employment, and skill development.
