Tripura Schools Closed for Five Days amid Severe Cold Wave
Jan 05, 2026In view of the extreme cold weather conditions affecting the state, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday announced the closure of all schools in Tripura from January 6 to January 10, 2026.
The decision applies to Government, Government-aided, and privately managed schools. Sharing the information through his official social media handle, the Chief Minister said the step was taken to ensure the safety and well-being of students during the ongoing cold wave.
Normal classes are expected to resume after January 10, subject to improvement in weather conditions.
