CM Manik Saha Lays Foundation for Heritage Village and Amusement Park in Jirania
Jan 05, 2026Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday laid the foundation stone for the Tripura Heritage Village and Sangeet Experience under the Tourism Department’s Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, along with an amusement park at Sachindranagar, Jirania.
The projects are part of the state government’s vision to modernize existing tourist destinations while developing new ones, aiming to boost tourism and stimulate the local economy.
“These projects will not only increase tourist arrivals in the state over the next two to three years but will also create employment opportunities for the youth,” said Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury.
The initiatives are expected to align with the aspirations of the local community while providing a significant boost to Jirania’s economy and the state’s tourism sector.
