CM Manik Saha Pays Tribute to Late Speaker Bishwabandhu Sen
Jan 04, 2026Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Sunday attended a condolence meeting and tribute programme organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Tripura Pradesh Committee, in memory of the late Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, Bishwabandhu Sen.
Paying his respects, the Chief Minister described Bishwabandhu Sen as a devoted public servant whose lifelong commitment to public service would be remembered for generations. He said Sen’s dedication to the welfare of the people and his tireless efforts in serving society stood as a shining example in public life.
Dr Saha recalled the late leader’s deep emotional bond with the people of Dharmanagar, noting that Sen’s affection and concern for the region were evident throughout his political journey. The Chief Minister also praised Sen’s significant and lasting contribution to the smooth, dignified, and impartial functioning of the Tripura Legislative Assembly during his tenure as Speaker.
Senior BJP leaders, elected representatives, party workers, and supporters attended the programme and observed a moment of silence to honour the departed leader. The meeting concluded with prayers for the eternal peace of the late Speaker’s soul and condolences to his bereaved family.
