Assam Police Seize 2.7 kg Opium, Arrest Two


Assam Police seized 2.7 kg of opium and arrested two men from Punjab in Karbi Anglong district on Friday as part of an ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking. The arrests were made after a truck was intercepted at a checkpoint in Khatkhati under the Bokajan sub-division. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of two packets of opium. Police said the truck was travelling from Dimapur in Nagaland. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
