“No One Will Be Spared”: CM Dhami Vows Strictest Punishment in Angel Chakma Murder Case

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has condemned the brutal murder of North East student Angel Chakma in Dehradun, calling it a deeply distressing incident that has destroyed a family’s hopes and dreams.

Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved parents, the Chief Minister said he personally spoke to Angel’s father and assured him that every accused involved in the heinous crime will be arrested soon and brought before the law. “Words feel inadequate in this tragic hour, but I assure the family — the guilty will not be spared,” Dhami stated.

He affirmed that maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of all citizens, including students from other states, remains the top priority of the Uttarakhand Government. While several accused have already been arrested, police continue efforts to apprehend the main absconding culprit.

Describing Uttarakhand as a peaceful and inclusive state, Dhami said concrete measures are being taken to guarantee the security of students from the North East and across India. He added that the state government stands firmly with the victim’s family and is fully committed to delivering justice in this heartbreaking case.
