Dec 29, 2025
Former New Zealand all-rounder Doug Bracewell has retired from all forms of international cricket, ending a 12-year career with the BLACK CAPS. The 35-year-old played 28 Tests, 21 One-Day Internationals, and 20 T20 Internationals, taking 120 wickets and scoring 915 runs.
Bracewell is remembered for his starring role in New Zealand’s last Test victory over Australia in Hobart in 2011, where he took six wickets in the second innings to secure a thrilling seven-run win.
Cricketing talent runs in the Bracewell family. His father, Brendon, and uncle, John, both represented New Zealand in Test cricket, while his cousin Michael continues to play for the BLACK CAPS.
