Sansad Khel Mahotsav Nurturing India’s Future Sports Talent: PM Modi
Dec 25, 2025Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Sansad Khel Mahotsav is emerging as a major platform for producing thousands of talented athletes across the country. Addressing the event through video conferencing, he highlighted the growing scale and impact of the sports festival in nation-building through youth development.
The Prime Minister said the values of sportsmanship and fair play learned through such events help create disciplined and capable youth who will shape the nation’s future. Referring to India hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad and the country’s efforts to host the 2036 Olympics, Mr. Modi stressed the importance of identifying and nurturing young talent from an early age.
He appealed to parents to encourage their children to participate in sports, noting that sports are essential not only for learning but also for maintaining a healthy body and mind.
