The Indian Army organised a five-day Bharat Ranabhoomi Darshan Supercar Drive in Sikkim from December 11 to 15 to promote responsible tourism and showcase India’s border heritage, according to an official defence statement.
The civil–military initiative was conducted in collaboration with Mumbai-based Super Car Route and the Sikkim government. It aimed to strengthen ties between civilians and the armed forces while highlighting the strategic, cultural and historical significance of India’s border regions.
A convoy of 17 supercars from Mumbai travelled along the historic Sikkim Silk Route, covering key locations such as Gangtok, Nathu La and Zuluk. The route offered participants scenic views of the Eastern Himalayas and underscored the strategic importance of high-altitude border areas.
During the drive, participants paid homage to Indian soldiers who defended the nation during the historic Cho La and Nathu La engagements.
