CM Dr. Manik Saha assures Swift Relief after Kamalpur Kiln Tragedy
Dec 17, 2025Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has ordered immediate relief and support following a tragic accident at the ABC Brick Industry in Kamalpur, where three workers lost their lives and four others were injured when the kiln’s chimney suddenly collapsed.
The collapse occurred during routine operations, trapping several workers under heavy debris. Rescue teams, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local police, arrived promptly, managing to save the injured and prevent further casualties. The four injured workers were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are being closely monitored.
Expressing deep grief over the incident, Dr. Saha extended condolences to the bereaved families and assured that the government would provide comprehensive medical care and necessary support to those affected. “The state stands firmly with the victims and their families during this difficult time,” the Chief Minister stated.
Authorities have launched a formal investigation to determine the cause of the collapse, and officials have promised a review of safety protocols at industrial sites to prevent such tragedies in the future. The incident has left the Kamalpur community in shock as residents mourn the loss and hope for stronger worker safety measures.
