Biplab Kumar Deb Tables IBC Amendment Bill Report in Lok Sabha
Dec 17, 2025BJP MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday presented the Report of the Select Committee on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025 in the Lok Sabha. He also laid the Record of Evidence related to the Bill before the House.
The proposed amendments are aimed at further strengthening India’s insolvency resolution framework by addressing procedural gaps and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the insolvency process. The Select Committee examined the Bill in detail and held consultations with various stakeholders before finalising its report.
The tabling of the report marks a key step toward legislative consideration of the proposed changes to the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
