Mimi Majumder Highlights Women’s Role in Self-Reliant India at Vande Mataram Event

The 150th anniversary of the iconic patriotic song Vande Mataram was observed with enthusiasm under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan at Agnibina Hall in Belonia on Tuesday.
Addressing the programme, Tripura Pradesh Mahila Morcha President Mimi Majumder highlighted the historical, cultural, and national significance of Vande Mataram, describing it as a timeless symbol of India’s freedom struggle, unity, and patriotism that continues to inspire generations even after 150 years.
Mimi Majumder strongly emphasised the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, stating that self-reliance is vital for India’s progress and global standing. She urged citizens, particularly women, to take an active role in achieving economic self-sufficiency through entrepreneurship, skill development, and meaningful social participation.
Highlighting the importance of women in nation-building, she said empowered women are the backbone of a self-reliant India and called upon Mahila Morcha members to carry the message of self-reliance to the grassroots level.
The programme was attended by Mahila Morcha members, party leaders, and local residents, who reaffirmed their commitment to national values, self-reliance, and the enduring spirit of Vande Mataram.
