PM Modi, Amit Shah Hail Indian Squash Team’s Historic World Cup Triumph


Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday congratulated the Indian Squash Team for winning their first-ever World Cup title at the SDAT Squash World Cup 2025.

In a social media post, the Prime Minister lauded the exceptional performances of Joshna Chinnappa, Abhay Singh, Velavan Senthil Kumar and Anahat Singh, saying their dedication, discipline and determination have brought immense pride to the nation. He added that the landmark victory reflects India’s growing strength on the global sporting stage and will inspire young athletes across the country, while further boosting the popularity of squash.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also praised the team for scripting a glorious chapter in India’s sporting history. He said their indomitable spirit and sporting excellence would inspire a new generation of athletes.
