Terror Strikes Sydney: 12 Killed in Attack on Jewish Hanukkah Celebration at Bondi Beach

At least 12 people have been killed and 29 injured after a mass shooting at Bondi Beach, authorities have confirmed. The attack, which targeted a Jewish Hanukkah celebration, has been declared a terrorist incident by New South Wales Police.

Police reported that two gunmen were involved: one was killed at the scene, and the other was taken into custody in critical condition. Bomb disposal teams are working to neutralize several improvised explosive devices found nearby.

The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. local time, when families and community members were celebrating the first night of Hanukkah. Dramatic footage circulated online showed civilians confronting the shooters, with one man wresting a shotgun away from a gunman.

New South Wales Premier Chris Minns expressed condolences, stating: "Our heart bleeds for Australia's Jewish community tonight. It is the responsibility of all Australians to support them through this incredibly difficult period."

Authorities are continuing their investigation, urging the public to remain calm while security operations continue across the area.
