CM Dr. Manik Saha urges Tripura Police to Adopt Pro-People Policing
Dec 12, 2025Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Friday underscored the importance of proactive and community-oriented policing while addressing the state-level conference on the outcome of the DGsP/IGsP meet at Prajna Bhavan in Agartala.
During the session, the Chief Minister encouraged all ranks of the Tripura Police to work with sincerity and dedication, stressing the need for heightened vigilance on matters related to internal security. He also called for building stronger, more cordial ties between the police force and the public to ensure a safer and more harmonious society.
Dr. Saha highlighted that a pro-people approach is essential for the police force, as they play a pivotal role in shaping the vision of a “New Tripura.” This vision, he noted, aligns with the national goal of a “New India” set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He reiterated that responsible, community-friendly policing would not only enhance public trust but also significantly contribute to the state’s overall development and security framework.
