Police Seize Rs 2.5 Cr worth Heroin and Yaba Pills


In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, police uncovered a significant narcotics haul at the Ambassa on Thursday night. Acting on routine checking, officers intercepted a vehicle traveling from Kanchanpur to Agartala and discovered 137 packets of heroin, weighing 1 kg 644 grams in total.

In addition to the heroin, police also seized nearly 10,000 Yaba tablets, commonly known as party drugs. According to officials, the combined market value of the confiscated narcotics is estimated to be around Rs 2.5 crore.

Police have arrested three individuals, including the driver of the vehicle, in connection with the incident. Authorities are now investigating the broader network behind the trafficking attempt.
