Tripura Signs MoU with STQC to Boost Information Security Standards


In a significant step towards strengthening cybersecurity and IT standards in the State, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy met with M. Vellaipandi, Director General of STQC, MeitY, Government of India, and Arvind Kumar Upadhyaya, Scientist G, STQC, at the Secretariat, Agartala on Thursday.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally exchanged between the STQC Directorate, MeitY and the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Tripura. The agreement focuses on implementing information security standards through certifications, capacity-building programs, seminars, workshops, and other initiatives aimed at strengthening the State’s IT ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy highlighted that the move aligns with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the proactive leadership of  Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha to ensure robust information security and technological advancement in Tripura.

With this collaboration, Tripura is set to become a model state in information security and IT governance, enhancing both administrative efficiency and public trust in digital systems.
