Security Forces Recover Arms, Arrest Militant in Manipur Operations

Security forces in Manipur intensified search and cordon operations across sensitive areas as part of ongoing efforts to restore normalcy in the State. According to the Manipur Police Control Room, a major search operation was carried out on Wednesday at Phubala Mamang Patton under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur district, leading to the recovery of a cache of arms and ammunition.
Recovered items include an SLR rifle without a magazine, two SBBL guns, a revolver, a 9mm pistol with a magazine, a hand grenade, a detonator, a Baofeng communication handset, a helmet, two bulletproof jackets, and various live rounds of ammunition.
In a separate development, security personnel apprehended an active cadre of the KCP (MC Progressive) near the Inter-State Bus Terminal at Khaman Lampak in Imphal West district on the same day. The individual was taken into custody for further interrogation.
