The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the final list of players for the upcoming IPL 2026 auction, set to take place in Abu Dhabi on the 16th of this month. A total of 350 players have been shortlisted from 1,390 registrations, comprising 240 Indian and 110 overseas cricketers.
This year’s pool features a substantial lineup of uncapped talent, including 224 Indian and 14 overseas players, adding depth and fresh prospects to the auction. Franchises will compete for 77 available slots, 31 of which are reserved for overseas players. So far, 173 players have been retained across teams.
The highest base price category remains ₹2 crore, with 40 players choosing to enter under this premium bracket. In total, franchises will have over ₹237 crore to spend, with the Kolkata Knight Riders holding the largest purse of ₹64.30 crore, followed by Chennai with ₹43.40 crore.
Intense bidding is expected for several prominent international players, including Cameron Green, Jamie Smith, Rachin Ravindra and David Miller, as teams prepare to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.
