Dec 06, 2025Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday attended the observance of the 63rd All India Civil Defence & Home Guard Day 2025 at the Monoranjan Debbarma Smriti Ground, AD Nagar, Agartala.
The day is marked nationwide to honour the dedication, service, and sacrifices of Civil Defence and Home Guard volunteers, who play a vital role in disaster management, emergency response, and humanitarian relief operations.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha extended warm greetings and congratulations to all Civil Defence and Home Guard volunteers, including Aapda Mitras, acknowledging their unwavering commitment to public safety. He praised their tireless efforts in protecting lives and supporting communities during crises, calling their service “truly commendable.”
The observance underscored the state’s continued appreciation for frontline volunteers who contribute significantly to strengthening disaster preparedness and response mechanisms.
