36th Tripura Industry and Trade Fair to begin on January 29; preparatory meeting held

The 36th Tripura Industry and Trade Fair is scheduled to commence on January 29 next year, at the Hapania International Fairground. The 15-day fair will run until February 12, with daily timings from 2 PM to 9 PM.
The decision was taken during the first preparatory meeting of the 36th Tripura Industrial and Trade Fair held today at the Secretariat’s Hall No. 3 under the chairpersonship of Santana Chakma, Minister of Industries and Commerce.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Chakma urged all stakeholders to cooperate in making the fair a grand success. She emphasized the importance of introducing new features this year and ensuring that the event is vibrant and engaging.
During the meeting, Subhas Chandra Das, Additional Director of the Industries and Commerce Department, briefed attendees on the department’s pre-preparations and arrangements for the fair. He informed that, as in previous years, various central and state government agencies will set up stalls. The fair will feature food courts, theme pavilions, and seminars on diverse subjects. Additionally, cultural programs will be organized under the guidance of the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs.
Officials present at the meeting included Nabadal Banik, Chairman of Tripura Industrial Development Corporation; Bishwajit Shil, Acting Chairman of the West Tripura District Council; Dr. Bishal Kumar, District Magistrate and Collector of West Tripura; and other senior officials from various departments. To ensure smooth and successful conduct of the fair, steering committees, executive committees, and various subcommittees have been formed.
