PM Modi: Winter Session Not Just a Ritual, but a Catalyst for India’s Development
Dec 01, 2025
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the Winter Session of Parliament is not merely a constitutional ritual but a crucial force driving India’s development agenda. Addressing the media ahead of the session, the Prime Minister highlighted the country’s strong economic performance, noting that India’s growth trajectory is reaching “remarkable heights.”
Mr. Modi said the current momentum reinforces the nation’s confidence in its journey toward becoming a developed country. He added that India has demonstrated to the world that democracy is capable of delivering meaningful progress.
Urging all political parties to maintain a constructive atmosphere, the Prime Minister cautioned against turning the session into a battleground for “frustration born out of defeat” or “arrogance born out of victory.” While acknowledging that negativity may have some place in politics, he stressed that nation-building ultimately requires a positive and forward-looking mindset.
Mr. Modi also called on senior parliamentarians to provide greater opportunities for the new generation of young MPs, emphasizing the importance of fresh perspectives and active participation in the legislative process.
