In a significant step toward promoting girls’ education and empowerment in North Tripura, a newly constructed girls’ hostel at Sonarbasha was inaugurated under the Ashok Singhal Seva Project on Friday. The facility, launched by State Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy, is expected to provide secure accommodation and foster holistic development for young women pursuing education in the region.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Roy highlighted the collaboration behind the initiative, noting that the project was inspired by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and implemented through the humanitarian efforts of Sadhak Ratnamani Seva Sadan. He emphasized that such infrastructure not only ensures safety but also encourages confidence, dignity, and greater access to educational opportunities for girls.
“The hostel is more than just a building; it is a platform for empowerment, enabling our young women to achieve their full potential,” Minister Roy said. He added that the project reflects the combined vision of social organizations and government leadership to create a supportive environment for girls in Tripura.
Local community leaders and educators attending the event praised the initiative, expressing hope that it would pave the way for increased enrollment of girls in schools and colleges, while also promoting inclusive growth and social welfare in the region.
