Russian President Vladimir Putin to Visit India for 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit on December 4

Russian President Vladimir Putin will undertake a two-day state visit to India beginning December 4 to participate in the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit. The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced.
During his stay, President Putin and Prime Minister Modi are scheduled to hold bilateral talks aimed at reviewing the progress of India–Russia relations and outlining a future roadmap for strengthening the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
President Droupadi Murmu will also host a state banquet in honour of the Russian leader.
According to the MEA, the upcoming summit will provide both sides with an important platform to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest, as well as explore new avenues of cooperation.
