Assam Rifles Launches Unity Ride Cycling Expedition from Agartala to Srikona

Assam Rifles on Tuesday launched a Unity Ride Bicycle Expedition from Agartala to Srikona, an initiative aimed at promoting national unity and strengthening community bonds across the Northeast. The event drew enthusiastic participation from both civilians and Assam Rifles personnel, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering harmony and integration.

The three-day expedition will cover nearly 290 kilometres, taking cyclists through diverse and picturesque terrain. Beginning in the lush plains and vibrant green countryside of Agartala and Jirania, the route ascends into the rolling hills, dense forests and bamboo-clad slopes surrounding Ambassa. Riders will then navigate the serene, hilly and forested stretches of Bagbasa before crossing into Assam, where scenic valleys, tea gardens and open green expanses lead towards the final destination, Srikona.

The expedition was flagged off by Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tinku Roy, who commended the participants for their determination and praised Assam Rifles for organising an event that carries a powerful message of national integration.

The Unity Ride will culminate at Srikona, spreading its message of unity and solidarity across communities along the way.
