CM Dr. Manik Saha Launches Rural Development Schemes, Honours Top-Performing Blocks and Districts

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday underscored the importance of rigorous monitoring and review for effective governance, saying that such measures ensure that government initiatives reach citizens “up to the last mile.”
Speaking at an event organized by the Rural Development Department at Pragna Bhavan, Dr. Saha launched two new initiatives: the ‘Mukhyamantri Gram Sampark Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana 2.0’. The Chief Minister also participated in a Griha Pravesh programme, released an achievement leaflet, and presented awards to the best-performing blocks and districts in rural development.
The top-performing blocks recognized were: Raishyabari (Dhalai), Karbook (Gomati), Teliamura (Khowai), Kalacherra (North), Mohanbhog (Sepahijala), Jolaibari (South Tripura), Chandipur (Unakoti), and Lefunga (West Tripura). Among districts, North Tripura secured first place, followed by Unakoti and West Tripura.
Highlighting the government’s focus on rural empowerment, Dr. Saha said, “Our vision is to ensure overall development of rural Tripura, improve social dignity in villages and hilly regions, and deliver the benefits of government schemes efficiently, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
The event was attended by Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, Rural Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, Panchayat Director Prasun De, along with Block Development Officers, District Magistrates, and other officials.
