3 Pedestrians Killed in Bangshal as Falling Bricks Strike during Earthquake
Nov 21, 2025Three pedestrians were killed in Dhaka’s Bangshal area on Friday after bricks fell from a building during an earthquake that was felt across the country.
According to reports, the victims were walking along KP Ghosh Street when bricks suddenly collapsed from the roof railing of a seven-storey building owned by the late Saki Miah. All three sustained severe injuries.
They were immediately taken to Mitford Hospital, where doctors later confirmed their deaths.
Authorities said they are investigating the structural condition of the building and the circumstances that led to the fatal collapse. Emergency teams have been deployed in the area to assess further risks following the tremor.
