Five Arrested in Assam for Sharing Inflammatory Posts on Delhi Blast

Assam Police have arrested five individuals for allegedly posting inflammatory and offensive content on social media in connection with the recent blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the chief minister reiterated that the state government would continue its “zero-tolerance approach” toward those misusing social media to spread hatred or glorify acts of terror.
“Assam Police has arrested five individuals for spreading offensive and inflammatory content online related to the recent Delhi blast. We will continue to act swiftly and firmly against such behaviour,” Sarma wrote.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mattiur Rahman from Darrang district, Hassam Ali from Goalpara, Abdul Latif from Chirang, Wajhul Kamal from Kamrup, and Nur Amin Ahmed from Bongaigaon.
