CM Dr. Manik Saha Reviews Matabari Tourist Circuit Proposal with DoNER Minister Scindia
Nov 12, 2025Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday attended a review meeting with Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, to discuss the proposed Matabari Tourist Circuit aimed at boosting tourism in Tripura.
The proposed circuit, designed for four nights and five days, will cover key tourist destinations including Agartala, Neermahal, Sepahijala, Udaipur, Chabimura, and Dumboor, showcasing Tripura’s rich cultural heritage and scenic natural beauty.
During the meeting, Minister Scindia responded positively to the proposal and assured full support for funding various developmental works under the project. The initiative is expected to significantly strengthen tourism infrastructure, create employment opportunities for local communities, and position Tripura as a major tourist destination in the North Eastern region.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha expressed confidence that the project would play a pivotal role in unlocking Tripura’s tourism potential and contribute to the state’s overall socio-economic development.
